This Delivery Policy explains how and when your gluten-free treats are dispatched and delivered. I aim to keep everything simple, clear and hassle-free — you’ll always know exactly when your treats are baked and when to expect them.

1. Weekly Order Schedule

To keep everything fresh and consistent, Sugar&Crumb operates a weekly bake-and-dispatch cycle:

  • Orders Open: Sunday

  • Baking Day: Wednesday

  • Dispatch Day: Thursday

This ensures your bakes are always fresh — never stored, frozen or pre-made.

2. Delivery Method

All postal orders are sent via:

📦 Royal Mail 24 Tracked

This means:

  • Your order is dispatched on Thursday

  • It will normally be delivered on Friday

Tracking information will be sent directly from Royal Mail once your parcel is on the way.

3. Delivery Timeframes

While Royal Mail 24 Tracked is usually reliable, please note:

  • Delivery times are from dispatch, not from when you place your order

  • During busy periods (Christmas, Easter, etc.) delays may occur

  • Severe weather or local disruptions can also affect delivery times

Once your parcel has been handed over to Royal Mail, delivery times are outside my control — but I will always help where I can.

4. Delivery Address

Please double-check your delivery address at checkout.

I cannot offer refunds or replacements if:

  • The wrong address was entered

  • The delivery address is incomplete

  • Royal Mail are unable to deliver due to access issues

  • The parcel is left safe and later goes missing

Your parcel may be left in a safe place or with a neighbour depending on your Royal Mail preferences.

5. Missed Deliveries

If you’re not home, Royal Mail may:

  • Attempt redelivery

  • Leave the parcel in a safe place

  • Deliver to a neighbour

  • Redirect to a nearby pickup point

It is your responsibility to retrieve the parcel promptly — my bakes are perishable, and I cannot replace items that spoil due to a missed delivery.

6. Damaged Deliveries

If your parcel arrives damaged, please email within 24 hours with clear photos of:

  • The external box

  • The internal packaging

  • The damaged items

I will refund or replace the affected items depending on the situation.

7. Delayed Deliveries

If your parcel is delayed by Royal Mail:

  • I will support you in tracking and resolving the issue

  • If the parcel arrives too late to be safe to consume, please contact me

  • If Royal Mail confirms the parcel is lost, a replacement or refund will be arranged

8. Collection (If Offered)

If collection is available for certain products:

  • Details will be provided by email

  • Please collect at the agreed time

  • Baked goods cannot be held for long periods due to their perishable nature

Uncollected orders cannot be refunded.

9. Shipping Areas

Sugar&Crumb currently ships to:

  • UK Mainland (Royal Mail-serviced areas)
